This one day event offers a simple introduction to American Sign Language, accompanied by introductions to some of the programs the Muted Emissaries use to provide visual language support at our virtual events.
A class in the basic alphabet and numbers, as well as a class in basic camp life around the SCA, will be offered. Introduction classes in Google Meets and OBS, and their uses in accessibility are also scheduled. We will be wrapping up the day with a class about music from the Deaf perspective and an adult-only social time to hang out and learn the more colorful ASL vocabulary (psst! That means cuss words! Ya know, the BAD words!). Sponsored by Muted Emissaries of Cynauga
